Massachusetts 1844. A late flowering variety (avoids most frosts) that shows good resistance to scab and mildew. Cropping can be erratic the fruits can be worth the effort although it is best grown in drier areas. The fruits are sweet and distinguished by a fine perfumed aroma with notes of vanilla. Pollination group 4.
